In the summer of 2008, I set off with a friend in search of one of the worlds’ last great nomadic cultures in the grasslands of Mongolia and the empty quarters of the Gobi Desert. We found a place of such vastness and beauty that one couldn’t help but feel the essential insignificance of humanity in the face of the cosmos.
